Responsibilities You will lead cross-program and cross-portfolio integration efforts to enhance system performance, improve resilience, and optimize the use of Marine Corps resources. You will develops strategic plans that define objectives, outline necessary steps, and set timelines for achieving integration goals. You will define and solve complex, multi-program problems by quantifying performance, analyzing resource impacts, and identifying opportunities based on sound engineering practices. You will build consensus and leads cross-organizational Integrated Product Teams, engaging with stakeholders such as capability officers and other services to accomplish objectives. You will develop realistic plans by aggregating and analyzing cost, schedule, and risk factors along with technical performance characteristics. You will serves as a subject matter expert for programs and projects, assisting them in identifying system elements critical to the performance of the integrated portfolio and aiding in systems engineering management. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing engineering and scientific work associated with weapons systems; coordinating efforts to meet systems engineering policies and procedural requirements; providing recommendations and assessments for resource planning activities; AND leading the day-to-day work of subordinates assigned to a team. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education NH-1550, Professional Computer Science Series: A bachelor's degree in computer science. OR A bachelor's or higher degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of my 30 semester hours were in a combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This vacancy is within Program Manager Marine Air Ground Task Force Command and Control. Experience and knowledge in Combat Systems and/or Command and Control Systems is highly preferred. Several vacancies may be filled.
