Position Purpose
The 12-month Nurse Residency Program at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, CT supports newly graduated RNs — or RNs with less than one year of experience — as they transition from entry‑level practice to professional competence. The program provides structured education, clinical support, and guided experience to build confidence and core nursing skills.
What you will do
Develop clinical judgment and decision‑making
Deliver safe, evidence‑based, people‑centered care
Build leadership skills at the bedside
Apply research and best practices in daily care
Learn through collaboration with educators, preceptors, and peers.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduated or projected to graduate from an accredited nursing program
Less than 12 months of RN experience
Valid Connecticut RN license required before orientation. *RN license number must be provided on the Monday before orientation
