Adecco is partnering with a great client in Stacey MN to hire an SMT Operator for this contract to hire opportunity!

Shift- Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30 PM

Pay $20-$23 Depending on Experience

Contract to Hire

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Set up components, load programs, and operate the Solder Paste Printer, the Pick & Place Machine, Reflow Oven, and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Machine to produce acceptable quality product at an acceptably fast pace.

  • Responsible for loading/unloading components onto/off feeders with negligible loss or damage.

  • Read and understand work instructions, bills of materials, assembly drawings, electronic component identification and polarity.

  • Perform quality inspections at each step in the process.

  • Hand place components as required.

  • Responsible for determining acceptability of solder prints and machine component placement accuracies.

  • Load machine programs and make needed adjustments to improve solder paste print, component placement, and automated inspection.

  • Communicate with technical personnel on process controls and product standards in order to meet production scheduling requirements.

  • Perform solder paste stencil printing and printer operation.

  • Perform light, routine machine maintenance tasks.

  • Recognize problems in the operation process or with components and communicate these immediately.

  • Responsible for keeping components in an organized fashion.

  • Communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers at all levels.

  • Ability to work at a constant state of alertness, at an appropriately rapid pace, and in a safe manner.

  • Ensure that the SMT area is clean and meets all safety requirements.

  • Contribute to team effort by performing other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary.

Qualifications & Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • 1-3 years of direct or related experience preferred.

  • Strong hand-eye coordination, vision and manual dexterity to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.

  • Trained in ESD safety and to IPC-A-610 standards.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Assembling and/or inspecting products under a microscope.

Able to perform basic tasks on a computer

Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
