Job Description
This role supports the production of pre-cast concrete structures used for sanitation systems and storm drains. You operate machinery in a wetcast concrete department, use hand tools to maintain the integrity of concrete forms while they cure, and handle molds and castings with a handheld crane. You inspect and smooth finished products to remove imperfections and also assist with a variety of general production tasks throughout the work week.
Responsibilities
Assist in the production of pre-cast concrete structures for sanitation applications and storm drains.
Operate machines in the wetcast concrete department according to safety and quality standards.
Use hand tools to set up, adjust, and maintain concrete forms to ensure structural integrity during curing.
Operate a handheld crane to move molds and safely remove concrete castings.
Inspect concrete castings, smooth surfaces, and correct imperfections to meet quality requirements.
Read and interpret basic blueprints and measurements to complete production tasks accurately.
Perform general labor tasks as needed, including cleaning work areas and supporting other production processes.
Float between different areas of the facility as needed to support production demands.
Work overtime of approximately 10–15 hours per week during busy seasons, including occasional Saturdays.
Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment at all times.
Why Work Here?
You join a safety-focused organization that prioritizes ensuring everyone goes home safely each day. You benefit from opportunities to cross-train in different areas of the operation, supporting skill growth and career development. The company promotes from within, creating clear paths for advancement. Once hired on, you receive boot reimbursement, and you work in an environment that values reliability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Work Environment
The role is based in a large concrete production facility that spans multiple buildings and includes an adjacent storage yard. All production work takes place indoors, but the environment is dusty and dirty due to concrete materials and processes. Temperatures can be chilly in the winter and warmer in the summer, so you should be comfortable working in varying indoor conditions. Safety is the top priority, and the facility maintains strict safety standards and procedures. The standard schedule is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the expectation of working 5 days of 10-hour shifts during busy seasons and occasional Saturdays.
