ManpowerGroup Laboratory Technician in St. Petersburg, Florida
Our client, pharmaceutical manufacturing and drug delivery systems, is seeking a Laboratory Technician – Softgel Formulation to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician – Softgel Formulation, you will be part of the Formulation & Development Department supporting Preformulation and Formulation Sciences teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Onsite
Pay Range: $23/hr.
Shifts: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM;
3–6 month contract with possible extension
What’s the Job?
Support preformulation and formulation activities for softgel drug delivery systems and pharmaceutical product development
Prepare reagents, solutions, samples, and laboratory materials needed for testing and analysis
Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment including mixers, encapsulation machines, coating pans, and related instruments
Perform routine laboratory testing such as moisture content, hardness, weight checks, disintegration, and stability-related evaluations
Document results accurately in lab notebooks, batch records, logbooks, and ensure compliance with SOPs and departmental procedures
What’s Needed?
High school diploma required; some college coursework in science-related field preferred
Prior laboratory experience preferred, ideally in pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments
Strong documentation skills with attention to accuracy and detail
Basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Ability to work in a laboratory setting including standing, lifting (up to 40 lbs), and following safety/gowning requirements
