About the Role

The Automation Engineer Apprenticeship programoffers an extensive paid training in the Technical Engineering field.Participants seeking an exciting career as an Automation Engineer gain valuableskills through a combination of 12 weeks of classroom instruction andon-the-job learning that prepares them to join our account for a world-classleader.

What You’ll Do

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.

  • Solve electrical and mechanical automation issues related to all material handling equipment, including PLCs, motors, photo-eyes, industrial communications, and more.

  • Troubleshooting on repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment.

  • Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.

  • Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned.

What You’ll Need

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Two years of experience working in a maintenance support role.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Ability to attend a 12-week in person paid training at a designated training provider.

  • Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Programming experience a plus.

  • Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations such as; routine maintenance, repairs, preventative measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safety compliance.

  • Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

  • Experience using powered or non-powered hand tools.

Turner & Townsend carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $125,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend’s applicable benefit program.
