The Financial Services Student Worker will perform financial services and investment operations work assisting with reconciling public and private investment managers NAV, public and private investment manager fees, pulling private market manager reports and recording transactions. The Financial Services Student Worker will assist financial services staff with various tasks, including purchasing, report running, document validation and other tasks as appropriate. The Financial Services Student Worker position will report directly to a senior member of the SBI Financial Services staff.
This is a part-time position, approximately 10-20 hours per week. Expected end date of the position is May 31, 2027.
Work is performed in office at our location in St. Paul, flexible hours between 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate student currently in their second or third year of study in an accounting or business-related field.
Basic knowledge of accounting, business and/or finance principles.
Ability to work individually and to collaborate in a team environment, remaining detail-oriented and client-focused while handling multiple projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to prepare reports; create technical documents; prepare and deliver presentations.
Student must be currently enrolled in a higher education institution and remain actively pursuing an undergraduate degree. If you are enrolled at a credit-granting institution, you must carry at least six semester credits; if enrolled at a non-credit granting institution or one that only offers one credit per class, you must be taking two or more classes per semester. You will be asked to complete an Educational Verification form prior to appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work experience in public service.
