Community Involvement Programs Senior Accountant in St. Paul, Minnesota
Accord is seeking a mission-driven Senior Accountant to support the Vice President of Finance and serve as a lead on the Finance Team. The Senior Accountant will maintain the integrity and validity of all financial data.
This is a hybrid role (minimum two days in office per week) located in Midway St. Paul, MN. Candidates must live in Minnesota.

The Senior Accountant will:
Maintain all general ledger accounts.
Conduct monthly and year-end closing procedures and reconcile balance sheet and bank statements.
Prepare schedules and work with the Controller to complete the annual audit as well as any other finance monitoring reviews.
Forecast and analyze financial status with other internal stakeholders.
Maintain fixed asset inventory and depreciation schedules.
Manage the housing function’s accounting, including but not limited to: recording monthly rent, preparing monthly rent statements, and participating in bi-weekly housing meetings.
Prepare and submit monthly contract invoicing.
Administrate Finance software solution, including integrations between ERP and FP&A software.
Support accounts payable as needed.
Review and record lockbox cash receipts.
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or finance and minimum of 3 years relevant accounting experience. Five or more years of demonstrated success in accounting and finance may be substituted for a degree.
Two plus years of management and oversight of accounting staff.
Two plus years experience in financial software and cloud-based systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft products, to include Excel, Pivot tables, text to columns, filtering,
VLOOKUP and advanced formulas.
Preferred Qualification:
Certified Public Accountant or Financial Planning and Analysis certification.
Experience in Nonprofit accounting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to financial detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to explain financial reports.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in sharing information and completing work.
