The Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State is seeking an Official Documents Lead to oversee the administration of the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State's (OSS) constitutional and statutory duties related to processing, filing, and responding to inquiries about official documents. This position also assists the general counsel and other Administration Division staff with tasks as needed, including tasks related to the Division’s Open Appointments work. This position also carries out other general duties such as tracking and ordering office supplies and responding to questions from members of the public.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of the principles of intergovernmental relations, particularly in the context of executive branch operations.
Experience using software and scanning programs and applications, such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong communications skills (oral and written) and the ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with diverse clientele.'
Ability to understand and interpret policies, administrative rules, legal opinions, and court decisions.
Effective human relations skills, strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Ability to function effectively as a member of a team, often in situations requiring immediate action.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher.
Experience working in databases.
Strong problem-solving skills.
