This announcement is filling two vacancies within the Office of Financial Management. The vacancies are also being announced at two different job classes, Student Worker Paraprofessional Senior or Student Worker Paraprofessional. The final class and starting salary are dependent on the successful applicant’s qualifications.
These positions are anticipated for one year with a possibility to extend. The position will work approximately 35-40 hours per week, June through September; and 10-20 hours per week, October through May. These positions are located at Central Office in St. Paul and may have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.
The position provides accounting support to the unit; this includes utilizing technical systems such as the asset management module of the Oracle PeopleSoft accounting system – Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT). In addition, the position aids in the financial reporting of SWIFT assets for the transportation department.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be current students in a secondary, post-secondary, or graduate school. Other qualifications include:
Enrolled in an accounting, business, finance or related program.
Microsoft applications skills, especially Excel and Word.
Basic math and data analysis skills.
Applicants must be a student in a college/university, trade, or technical school. If a student is enrolled at a credit-granting institution he/she must carry at least six semester (nine quarter) credits. If enrolled at a non-credit granting institution or one that only offers one credit per class, a student must be taking two or more classes per semester/quarter. Any lesser credit (class) load shall be treated as a semester/quarter off. Graduate students must be enrolled in at least two courses or making progress on a dissertation. You will be asked to complete an Education Verification form prior to appointment.
