Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in leading and supporting production associates, maintaining a positive and motivating presence while ensuring team members clearly understand their roles and responsibilities. This position also plays a key role in driving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations and fostering a productive, collaborative workplace culture.

Compensation:
Starting base salary for this position is: $64,000 per year
Pay is based on job-related experience
Schedule and Location:
Monday - Friday (start time TBD)
Occasional Saturday work may be required.
This position is full time at the St. Michael location
Essential Functions:
Addresses production issues in a timely manner, and consults management as well as cross-functional leaders for support.
Effectively and positively communicates with other departments when needed.
Evaluates associate performance, provides feedback, and improvement plans when necessary.
Provides ongoing development for production associates to enhance skills.
Monitors product quality to ensure food safety standards and compliance requirements are met.
Ensures that all safety regulations and processes are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
Communicates relevant and important information between management and production associates.
Other duties as assigned by Production Manager; able to serve as back-up in Production Manager's absence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bilingual Spanish, preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Management or similar, preferred.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to learn various computer systems quickly.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to work under pressure while always maintaining the utmost professionalism.
Advanced skills in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical and Environmental Factors:
Safety Awareness - Follow all safety laws, policies, and procedures. Immediately report safety concerns to supervisor. Attend, and successfully complete, when applicable, all required safety training.
Quality Awareness - Comply with the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Food Safety and Quality Food Programs (SQF).
Includes activities such as but not limited to walking, lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting and turning
Requires ability to lift, up to 30 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
Requires ability to stand for the entirety of the shift (minus breaks/rest periods)
Subject to temperatures ranging from 30 degrees to 50 degrees constantly
Subject to noise levels higher than 85 decibels
Ability to wear all required PPE.
