Overview of the Role:

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Maintenance Millwright, for an existing opportunity within our organization. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for the routine/preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment.

Schedule: 9:00pm - 7:00am, Thursday - Sunday (must be available to work days and nights - Flexibility required)

Wage: starting at $35.75/hour

There are 2 salary increases in the first year of employment, with a target rate of $44.70/hour.

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment

• Trouble shoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations

• Carries out equipment installations and modifications as required

• Repair parts in shop

• Work effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety

• Follow company policies and safety standards

• Works with other trades groups to complete project assignments.

• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Millwright license

• Proven experience with process equipment in a manufacturing setting.

• Food industry or high speed packaging experience

• Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge

• Ability to read and interpret Blueprints

• Welding experience is an asset

• Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills.

• Boiler, refrigeration and air handling systems experience is an asset

• Electrical experience is an asset

• PLC training and experience is an asset

• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

• High level of self-motivation and initiative.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Dependable with a good attendance and safety record in current position.

• Available to work afternoon and night shifts, weekends and overtime as required.

• Available to switch shifts at short notice to replace absent workers
