Position Summary:

We are seeking an Ink Jet Operator to set up, operate, and maintain commercial web presses and Versamark Ink Jet systems. This role is key in producing high-quality print, minimizing waste, and supporting a safe and efficient production environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor high-speed Versamark inkjet systems to produce accurate, high-quality output

  • Set up jobs according to production specifications, including file verification, press calibration, and media adjustments

  • Work with variable data files to ensure accurate personalization, addressing, and data integrity throughout production runs

  • Perform routine press checks and control spoilage/waste to maintain efficiency and reduce costs

  • Follow documented quality control procedures to verify print accuracy, color consistency, barcodes, and addressing

  • Conduct basic press maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure reliable press operation

  • Actively participate in department training programs to develop technical skills and stay current on equipment and processes

  • Collaborate with the team lead and production staff, following all management system procedures, 5S, and Standard Work instructions

    Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating web presses

  • Kodak Versamark Ink Jet experience

  • Heidelberg and Goss Web Presses preferred

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Able to work in fast-paced environment
