Position Summary:
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our 1st shift team, specializing in the repair and upkeep of our presort and inserting equipment used in outgoing mail production. This role will focus on ensuring machines run efficiently, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous operation within our high-volume environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Specialize in the maintenance and repair of outgoing mail machinery, including BlueCrest and Pitney Bowes systems
Diagnose and resolve issues involving proximity sensors, photo sensors, Allen Bradley PLCs, and Simeons controls
Troubleshoot and repair high-speed inserting and mail sorting equipment
Follow best practices to improve equipment uptime and reliability
Utilize CMMS software for preventative maintenance, work orders, and inventory
Follow management system procedures, 5S, and Standard Work
Follow document control protocols
Participate in rotating weekend on-call schedule
Qualifications:
Technical degree or working toward a degree in electrical, electronics, or mechanical fields preferred
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
Hands-on experience with BlueCrest and/or Pitney Bowes mailing inserters and commingling systems highly preferred
Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs, Simeons controls, proximity sensors, and photoelectric sensors
Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
Previous experience maintaining printing, bindery, or mailing production equipment
Effective communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus.
Ownership of personal tools is required. Japs-Olson will repair or replace any tools that are damaged while in use on company equipment.
