Citizens Independent Bank Director of Human Resources in St Louis Park, Minnesota
Job Duties
Lead the bank’s HR strategy, policies, and infrastructure to support business goals, employee experience, and regulatory compliance
· Drive end-to-end talent acquisition, ensuring consistent, effective, and legally compliant hiring practices
· Strengthen talent development through job descriptions and individual development planning in partnership with leaders and the Training & Development Coordinator
· Promote an engaged, values-driven culture through retention, engagement, and internal communication initiatives
· Ensure HR legal compliance, accurate recordkeeping, and audit/reporting readiness (including handbook and policy updates)
· Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, including coaching, investigations, and fair policy application
· Oversee total rewards (compensation & benefits), including vendor management and market competitiveness reviews
· Manage performance management processes and equip leaders to set goals, coach, and improve accountability
· Lead succession planning for critical roles and build leadership continuity and talent readiness
· Supervise and support the Training and Development Coordinator
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
Professional certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred.
10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within community banking or a regulated industry.
Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and banking-industry compliance expectations.
Demonstrated effectiveness in building relationships, collaboration with leaders, and driving organizational change.
Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a lean HR environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proficient in drafting policies, professional correspondence, and presentations
Ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations
Minimum Experience Required
