EPAM Systems Senior DevOps Engineer in St. Louis, Missouri

We're seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead our GitHub ecosystem and CI/CD infrastructure. You'll architect automation solutions, manage our enterprise GitHub environment, and modernize our development toolchain.

Responsibilities

  • Design optimized GitHub Actions pipelines with reusable workflows and composite actions

  • Manage enterprise self-hosted runners and implement security best practices

  • Establish efficient CI/CD workflows with automated testing and artifact management

  • Build and publish Docker/Podman containers to enterprise repositories

  • Deploy containerized workloads in serverless environments with monitoring

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using infrastructure-as-code principles

  • Lead migrations from on-premises developer tools to cloud/SaaS solutions

  • Configure artifact repositories, code quality gates, and dependency management

  • Implement monitoring, incident response, and organizational DevOps standards

Requirements

  • 4+ years of CI/CD engineering with demonstrable GitHub Actions expertise

  • Container technology experience and strong scripting abilities (Python, Go, PowerShell, Bash)

  • Deep understanding of GitHub Enterprise features and Actions architecture

  • Experience with artifact repositories, code quality tools, and dependency management

  • Proven success migrating dev tooling platforms from on-premises to SaaS

  • Linux fundamentals and networking knowledge (TLS, proxies, DNS)

  • Infrastructure as Code experience and automation mindset

  • Experience implementing DevOps best practices at enterprise scale

  • Experience with AI-powered DevOps automation, multiple programming ecosystems, cloud platforms, and modern observability tools
