Actalent **QC Technician** in St. Louis, Missouri

Job Title: QC TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented QC Technicians for two open positions, both operating on a 7pm-7am shift. One position follows a Monday-Thursday schedule, while the other follows a 4 on 4 off schedule. Quality Technicians will spend the majority of their time on the production floor, utilizing computers to document data and non-conformances, and ensuring that all products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Always understand and demonstrate safe work practices.

  • Monitor the statistical process control (SPC) software suite called Gainseeker.

  • Monitor, measure, and document line processes to assure conformance to product Master specifications.

  • Examine and document packaging components and finished product assembly for conformance to product Master specifications.

  • Program, calibrate, and assist in the setup of Hi-Speed check weighers, Videojet, and Marsh coders.

  • Program and monitor the Automated Inventory Management system for identifying and tracking finished production.

  • Place non-conforming product on hold for disposition by the QC Manager.

  • Pull product retain samples.

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with GMP and quality inspection processes.

  • Attention to detail and good communication skills.

  • Familiarity with laboratory and quality assurance environments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document control.

  • Ability to work in a regulated environment and follow SOPs.

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, conversions).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma minimum with experience or an Associate's degree in a lab-related discipline.

  • Interest in the pesticide and home protection manufacturing industry.

  • Experience in a regulated or Quality Control environment preferred.

  • Strong soft skills and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

  • Pride in work and attention to small details and labels.

Work Environment

QC Technicians will spend nearly all of their time in the plant, with occasional time in the lab. The role requires being on one's feet every day, conducting inspections. This position offers exposure to various instrumentation and cutting-edge products in the crop science industry, with opportunities for promotion as the organization grows.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
