Project Engineer I

The Project Engineer I role is an entry point into that legacy and the future we are building. This position supports Mission Critical projects and may require full-time presence on a job site. It is designed for someone eager to learn, highly organized, and ready to grow within a fast-paced construction environment.
Position Purpose
The Project Engineer I provides essential administrative and technical support to the project team, helping ensure projects are executed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role focuses on document control, coordination support, and foundational project management skills under the guidance of experienced project leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintainorganized project documentation using consistent filing systems
- Assistwith drawing and specification control and distribution
- Prepare, track, and distribute submittals and RFIs
- Support material and equipment tracking and verification
- Document project meetings and follow up on action items
- Assistwith change order documentation and justification
- Support subcontractor coordination and field communication
- Contribute to project closeout documentation
- Perform basic material quantity takeoffs
- Follow safety protocols and support a strong safety culture
- Actively seek learning opportunities and professional development
What You Bring
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Basic understanding of construction terminology and processes
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and construction software tools
Qualifications
- Associate\'s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- Entry level construction or engineering experience preferred
- Valid driver\'s license and ability to travel to project sites
