Bombardier (CONTRACT) - Professional , Engineering, Structural and Systems Installation Design - Montreal in St-Laurent, Canada
What are your contributions to the team?
Perform mechanical design using CATIA V5 and oversee the production of detail drawings and installation drawings for work packages under your responsibility.
Interpret technical specifications necessary related to aerospace domain to develop solutions to meet the design requirements that will be entrusted to you.
Support production operations on Bombardier multi-platform aircraft programs (Challenger 350 / 650 and Global 5500 / 6500 / 7500).
Understand and resolve airframe and systems problems providing technical support to multi-site assembly line (Querétaro, Dorval, Toronto).
Work in close cooperation with other disciplines such as Stress, Materials & Processes, Systems, Flight Science, Design, Methods, Quality and Operations to achieve the company’s business objectives.
Participate in projects that aim to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve financial performance.
Plan and adhere to project schedule deadlines while respecting allocated budgets.
Collaborate with experienced, dynamic, and efficient multidisciplinary teams dedicated to projects to obtain results.
Work in collaboration with internal and external suppliers to support the manufacturing team as needed.
Be involved in the concrete accomplishment of your designs by support as the designer the phases of manufacturing, assembly and installation of your achievements.
How to thrive in this role?
You have a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with eight (8) or more years or technical equivalency with twelve (12) or more years of experience in a similar position.
You have knowledge of CATIA V5 design and modeling software.
You have strong knowledge in aircraft structure/system installation design.
You have strong experience in machined parts, sheet metal parts design and fabrication.
You have a strong sense of responsibility, good practical and technical judgment and are flexible.
You demonstrate dynamism, good listening skills and a strong interest in teamwork.
You have the ability to manage priorities.
You have the ability to work under pressure to meet design deadlines.
You are familiar with Microsoft Office software such as PowerPoint and Excel.
You have great relational and editorial skills in English and French.
Knowledge of composites design and Fibersim software is an asset.
