POSITION SUMMARY
Follows menus and recipes in preparing food items needed for the shift
Prepares and presents all items in accordance with recipe specifications.
Maintains safety and cleanliness of work area, including but not limited to refrigerators, freezers, ovens, shelves, worktables and sinks.
Keeps himself/herself updated with new trends of food preparation.
Judges quality of products in view of freshness and expiry dates.
Informs appropriate supervisor in case of any shortages and quality problems.
Verifies quality of food items issued and/or received from the stores and suppliers.
Returns all items to proper storage areas after use.
Monitors all equipment’s functionality, including but not limited to refrigerators and freezers and reports any problem in solved.
Seeks own solutions to the minor obstacles that occur from time to time.
