Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital Registered Nurse Hospital Supervisor in St. Johnsbury, Vermont
The Nursing Administration team at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Hospital Supervisor to provide leadership, coordination, and clinical oversight across hospital operations.
In this key leadership role, the RN Hospital Supervisor ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. Serving as an administrative and clinical resource during assigned shifts, the Supervisor supports staff, coordinates resources between departments, and addresses patient, employee, and operational concerns.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate hospital-wide operations to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient care
Serve as a leadership and clinical resource for nursing and interdisciplinary staff
Represent Hospital Administration in the absence of administrative staff
Assist with patient, family, and staff concerns, including conflict resolution and problem-solving
Support quality improvement initiatives, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
Coordinate patient flow, staffing, and interdepartmental resources
Act as a professional role model, promoting standards, policies, and best practices
Participate in hospital and nursing management committees as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Current Vermont or multi-state RN license
BSN required (or obtained within three years); MSN or Master’s in a related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing experience
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience with personnel management and professional nursing practice standards
Knowledge of CMS and regulatory standards
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
