TEKsystems Low Voltage Technician in St. George, Utah
Required Experience
4–5+ years of hands-on experience with Access Control systems (PDK, Salto, Genea)
DC controls experience is a plus
4–5+ years of experience installing and supporting Audio Visual systems (Crestron, Q‑Sys)
4–5+ years of experience working on projects involving structured cabling and security cameras
Nice to Have Skills
Cat5 / Cat6 cabling
Fiber optic cabling
CCTV systems
Troubleshooting & technical support
Basic hardware setup and teardown
Position Overview
We are hiring Low Voltage Technicians for a 6‑month contract with a strong likelihood of extension. This role supports multiple fast‑paced construction projects across Salt Lake City, Utah County, Weber County, and Davis County.
Technicians will work on a variety of systems including access control (PDK, Salto, Genea), security cameras, structured cabling, and AV systems (Crestron, Q‑Sys). Opportunities for travel and additional compensation may be available.
Technicians are expected to bring their own tools (see list below) and wear standard PPE. No fire‑retardant gear is required. Teams will meet at a central location and be transported to job sites by the dispatch team.
Success in this role is measured by timely, high‑quality installations, strong teamwork, and the ability to collaborate effectively with less experienced technicians. This position is ideal for skilled professionals who can ramp up quickly and contribute immediately on active job sites.
Core Responsibilities
Install and support access control, AV, cabling, and security camera systems
Perform structured cabling, terminations, and punchdowns
Troubleshoot system and hardware issues as needed
Maintain quality workmanship and job site safety standards
Support team leads and collaborate with technicians of varying experience levels

Phillips & flathead screwdrivers (#1 & #2)
10‑in‑1 screwdriver
Adjustable wrenches (6” & 8”)
Channel locks
Lineman pliers, side cutters (dikes), needle‑nose pliers

This is a Contract position based out of St. George, UT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
