Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description

The Controls Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing and developing software for industrial controls, including PLCs, machine vision systems, robotics, and other related equipment. This position requires the interpretation, creation, and modification of electrical schematics, as well as the installation, start-up, testing, and debugging of equipment at customer locations. The role also involves the development and maintenance of technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software for industrial controls such as PLCs and robotics.

  • Interpret, create, and modify electrical schematics.

  • Install, start-up, test, and debug equipment at customer's location.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in controls engineering and automation.

  • Proficiency in software design using C#.

  • Experience programming PLCs.

  • Robotics experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Experience with machine vision systems.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to independently learn and troubleshoot problems.

  • Willingness to travel.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $58.00/hr.
