Position Title Student Marketing Assistant (MSU Career Center)

Description of Primary Duties
The Student Marketing Assistant plays an active role in the development and dissemination of the Career Center’s marketing and promotional materials.
Create graphics for Career Center events and activities
Brainstorm and execute content creation (reels, event promotion, event recaps)
Create graphics for social media outlets, website, reports and marketing material
Target student engagement (increase student interaction with the Career Center)
Adhere to University brand in all designs and communication materials
Stay current with content and design trends
Collaborate with other staff members and/or independently accomplish relevant tasks to meet project deadlines
Supervise the student Social Media Assistant
Other duties may be assigned based on office needs and demonstrated interest
Required Qualifications
Must be a current Missouri State University student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree (ideally in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communication Studies, or other relevant area of study)
Comfortable with content creation and social media engagement (Reels on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
Previous experience with relevant design programs Canva, Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
Creative self-starter who is comfortable with taking initiative and working in collaboration with others
Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
Required Certifications
Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Flexible yet able to adhere to strict deadlines
Active Learning – Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
