Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

Surgical Technologist – New Grads Welcome!

Location: Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA

Schedule: 36 hours per week - 12 hour shifts

Rotating weekends, holidays and call required

What You’ll Do

  • Set up and maintain sterile fields for surgeries

  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and the surgical team

  • Manage surgical instruments and assist during procedures

  • Ensure patient safety and proper positioning

  • Follow strict infection control and safety protocols

  • Document procedures and handle surgical specimens

What You Bring

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (CAHEA or equivalent)

  • Level I Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification

  • AST certification if required

  • CPR/BLS certification

  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
