Sr. Financial and Grants Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Financial and Grants Analyst to join a well-established organization in Springfield, Massachusetts. This role involves overseeing financial operations related to grant-funded programs, ensuring compliance, and contributing to financial planning and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in grant accounting and financial analysis to support organizational goals effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Manage financial reporting processes for grant-funded programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Prepare detailed program budgets and monitor performance by conducting budget-to-actual analysis.
• Develop and implement cost allocation strategies to optimize program funding.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with program managers to ensure financial activities align with organizational objectives.
• Oversee grant accounting functions, including tracking expenditures and maintaining accurate records.
• Generate program-specific financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
• Utilize data mining techniques to support ad hoc financial analysis and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant grant regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Contribute to the development of financial models to support strategic planning efforts.
Base salary range of $90,000 - $103,500

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on grant accounting and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills, including expertise in variance analysis and financial modeling.
• Strong knowledge of grant regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate program budgets and financial statements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities.
