The Senior Software Engineer develops software solutions to meet business needs while navigating complex technical and operational challenges. This role serves as the primary bridge between internal teams and the vended inventory management system, ensuring smooth integration, strong cross‑functional partnership, and effective vendor coordination. Operating with significant independence, the engineer leads quality assurance efforts, resolves complex system issues, and contributes to shaping departmental technical strategy.
The Senior Software Engineer codes software applications based on business requirements and works on moderately complex to complex technical and operational challenges. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and respond to dynamic and variable factors across systems and teams.
A key responsibility of this role is to bridge the gap between internal engineering processes and our vended inventory management system , ensuring seamless data flow, integration, and alignment across technology, operations, and vendor teams. The Senior Software Engineer will take ownership of the cross‑functional relationship, serving as the first line of defense between internal operational partners and the vendor—proactively addressing issues, facilitating communication, and ensuring accountability on both sides.
The Senior Software Engineer standardizes quality assurance processes, oversees testing and debugging, and develops fixes for software applications. This individual researches operational complaints, troubleshoots system defects, and makes recommendations or adjustments to resolve complex software‑related issues. The role contributes to departmental strategy, works independently without direction, and exercises significant latitude in determining objectives, technical approaches, and execution plans.

Required Qualifications:
Ability to communicate well with team members and business counterparts
Experience with Inventory Management Systems
Familiarity with Azure infrastructure (Key Vaults, Storage Accounts ADLS2).
Experience with job orchestration tools, like Prefect or other ETL type tools
Advanced skills in Oracle.
Solid understanding of data structures (JSON, CSV, APIs) and data ingestion techniques.
Ability to solicit and incorporate feedback on technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
AI-Assisted coding
Proficiency in Databricks ETL development, notebook creation, and job orchestration.
Ability to call APIs and manage data extraction processes.
Proactive approach to conveying technical issues and risks to stakeholders.
Experience in collaborative project planning and milestone tracking.
Strong project coordination skills, with experience in breaking down projects and estimating timelines.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$106,900 - $147,000 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
