Job Summary

The Career & Technical Faculty I member is responsible for delivering specialized instruction and hands-on training in a specific vocational or technical field, equipping students with industry-relevant skills and knowledge for workforce readiness. This role includes curriculum development, teaching, mentoring, and program evaluation. Faculty members collaborate with industry experts, educational agencies, educational institutions, and students in an attempt to ensure programs meet workforce demands and adhere to educational standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and deliver specialized curriculum in the assigned vocational or technical field, ensuring alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.

Conduct hands-on training and demonstrations designed to teach students practical skills and techniques applicable to their chosen field.

Assess student performance through assignments, projects, tests, and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback.

Stay informed on industry trends and advancements to integrate the latest technology and practices into instruction.

Collaborate with program coordinators, colleagues, and industry representatives in an attempt to ensure program relevancy and effectiveness.

Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and certifications as required by the institution.

Provide mentorship and career guidance to students, fostering their professional development.

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and institutional committees as required.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols, equipment standards, and applicable regulations during instruction and training sessions.

Knowledge and Skills

Patience, empathy, and a student-centered approach to teaching.

Proficiency in using training software, tools, and equipment relevant to the field.

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and industry professionals in an attempt to enhance student outcomes.

Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate various learning styles and institutional needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of hands-on industry experience in the specific vocational or technical field.

Comprehensive knowledge of industry principles, tools, practices, and safety protocols.

Industry-recognized certifications or licensures in the specialized field (e.g., welding, HVAC, automotive repair, electrical engineering, etc.).

Familiarity with accreditation standards and regulations related to vocational and technical education.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry advancements.
