Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Springdale, Arkansas

Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Springdale, Arkansas. This contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to manage comprehensive accounting functions for a small business while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in bookkeeping processes and possess a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable and receivable activities accurately and efficiently.

• Reconcile bank and credit card statements to maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the general ledger.

• Generate monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements for review.

• Handle payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and ensuring tax compliance.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure timely reporting.

• Manage invoicing, track payments, and oversee collections to maintain cash flow.

• Ensure all accounting practices align with organizational standards and compliance requirements.

• Collaborate with management on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

• Coordinate with external accountants or auditors for tax filings and audit processes. Requirements • Proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper, ideally within a small business setting.

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft D365, or Oracle NetSuite.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with payroll processing and compliance requirements.

• Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
