CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Substation - Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Electric Transmission Team at a client site in Spring Valley, NY, where you'll support the planning, analysis, and delivery of infrastructure essential to the safe and efficient transfer of electricity from power generation to distribution networks. This is an exciting opportunity to work on meaningful projects, collaborate with subject matter experts, and contribute to innovative solutions that bolster grid resiliency and support the energy transition. What You'll Do: Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for electric transmission and substation projectsPlan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of electric transmission projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staffMonitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in critical electric infrastructureComplete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost-effective solutionsProvide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff What You Bring: Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering requiredMinimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredAdvanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft OfficeStrong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering lawsProven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsParticipation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred Why You'll Love It Here: Lead impactful electric transmission and substation projects that enhance grid reliability, storm resilience, and long-term system performanceMentor and inspire junior engineers committed to strengthening the electrical grid and supporting sustainable energy solutionsCollaborate with talented professionals across disciplines in a flexible work environmentCurious about the impactful work Electric Transmission Team is doing? Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
