Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Structural Transmission Engineer to work for an end client in Spring Valley, New York. This position will be working 3 days onsite 2 days remote. This person will be working within the Civil Substation and Transmission Electrical Engineering team. This role is responsible for transmission design and project execution relative to civil and structural engineering. This person will be working on projects relative to overhead transmission lines and electric substations. This role serves as the Project Structural Engineer on overhead transmission projects, supporting design development, cost estimating, construction specifications, and coordination with internal teams, contractors, and manufacturers. This person will be touching the full life cycle of transmission and substation capital expenditure projects.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
2+ years of working experience as a structural engineer
Structural Design experience with concrete, steel, wood structures and/or foundations
Strong experience utilizing a structural analysis and design software Experience applying civil site development practices for projects, including: site planning, site design, site gradingg, excavation, drainage, roadways, and/or Right-of-way (ROW) considerations
Ability to prepare: engineering layouts, designs, construction drawings and design sketches
Experience developing cost estimates
Experience supporting construction oversight and project execution Familiarity with project scheduling and management tools
Valid driver’s license
Ability to travel within the service territory for project and field support Availability for storm/emergency response engineering assignments Bachelor's or Master's degree specifically in Civil or Structural Engineering
