Insight Global Shipping & Receiving Lead (Day) in Spring, Texas
Job Description
Shift/Hours: 5am-5pm (Monday-Saturday)
We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Lead to oversee daily warehouse shipping and receiving operations in a manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely movement of materials and finished goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading a small team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in warehouse logistics and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for correct quantity, quality, and documentation
Ensure proper labeling, packaging, staging, and storage of materials and products
Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts and audits
Coordinate with internal teams including Production and Purchasing, as well as external carriers and vendors
Troubleshoot and resolve shipping or receiving discrepancies
Monitor workflow and identify opportunities for process improvement
Ensure adherence to safety standards and company procedures
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed
Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to Shipping & Receiving Operators

Skills and Requirements
High school diploma or GED required (Associate degree preferred)
3–5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations
Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred
Familiarity with inventory systems, ERP software, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Ability to read and interpret shipping documents (BOLs, packing slips, etc.)
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
Ability to read and write in English or Spanish - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
