About Houston
ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team
As the Carbon Credits Market Development Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Low Carbon Solutions (LCS) voluntary carbon dioxide removal (CDR) portfolio by managing the technical due diligence and derisking process for corporate buyers around the world and establishing the competitive positioning of EM LCS CDR credits. You will develop compelling go-to-market strategies and new pursuits for CDR pathways through analysis of broader market trends and insights, translate complex CDR projects and credits into clear value propositions, and manage the interface with both the CDR buyers and project counterparties. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successful external engagements resulting in achieving revenue generating outcomes, deep understanding of the voluntary carbon market (VCM) including methodologies and high-quality criteria, existing relationships with CDR buyers and broader ecosystem, and be passionate about growing the market.
What you will do
Manage Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) Credit buyer derisking process with technical and commercial teams. Execute CDR product marketing strategy to drive lead generation and sales enablement.
Manage de-risking process with CDR buyers and Biogenic CO2 suppliers - execute engagement meetings including workshops, site visits, etc.
Lead continuous improvement of the buyer engagement process and experience by leveraging technology, streamlining of communication and materials
Drive strategy for EM CDR product marketing and establish CDR branding and high-quality product offer with LCS Marketing
Develop educational and sales enablement tools to drive higher conversions
Engage with broader ecosystem to ensure EM CDRs have compelling positions and remain competitive with the product offer in the global marketplace
Develop the strategy and roadmap of CDR pathways, leveraging market insights, EM capabilities, and assets
Define opportunity and build case for action for new CDR pursuits, partnering with LCS Origination and EM Technology teams
Lead scoping of CDR business opportunities and sprints across the organization to determine risk and value assessments
About you
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s/MBA a plus
A minimum of 10 years of related market development or client facing experience, including 2+ years in carbon markets
Engineering or Science background a plus
Strong understanding of the energy industry, decarbonization pathways, net zero standards, and global carbon market trends and competitive landscape
Self-directed, highly motivated and able to work as a team and independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to articulate technical and commercial concepts clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Sense of ownership of work product and the ability to handle several deliverables simultaneously and prioritize work to meet time sensitive deadlines, often working across the organization
Self-motivated and proactive individual with effective process management skills, a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence
Flexible and able to thrive in ambiguous environments
