Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Wire Harness Assembler to join a small, collaborative production team. In this role, you assemble and crimp wire harnesses using hand tools and semi-automatic equipment, perform inspections and tests to ensure quality, and follow detailed work orders and blueprints. You use your strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical documents to produce accurate, reliable wire harness assemblies in a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
Assemble and crimp wires using hand tools and semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses and wire strippers.
Read and follow wire harness assembly instructions, work orders, and blueprints to ensure accurate and consistent assembly.
Conduct functional and continuity tests on wire harnesses and cable assemblies to verify performance and reliability.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections on in-process assemblies and finished products to confirm they meet quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following prescribed safety regulations and housekeeping practices.
Report defective materials, nonconforming parts, or questionable conditions promptly to the appropriate supervisor or lead.
Participate in continuous improvement activities by suggesting process enhancements and practicing safety awareness at all times.
Handle small parts and components carefully to prevent damage and ensure precise assembly.
Use basic math skills and color identification to correctly measure, cut, and assemble wires according to specifications.

Work Environment
This role is based in a small production area with a team of approximately 14 employees, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. You work with hand tools and semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses and wire strippers, and you regularly handle small electronic components and wires. The dress code is casual, suitable for a hands-on production environment. Standard hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing a consistent daytime schedule. The workplace emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety regulations to maintain a safe and efficient production floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Lake Park, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
