Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Spring Lake, North Carolina
Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in Spring Lake, North Carolina. This is a Contract to permanent position within the local government sector, offering an excellent opportunity to lead HR operations and contribute to organizational success. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing HR systems, employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all aspects of HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management.
• Administer HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accurate data management and reporting.
• Develop and implement policies to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal labor regulations.
• Manage employee relations by addressing grievances, conducting investigations, and fostering a positive workplace environment.
• Coordinate benefits programs, including enrollment and regular updates, to meet employee needs.
• Lead compensation administration processes by evaluating roles and ensuring competitive pay scales.
• Monitor HR metrics to assess organizational performance and recommend improvements.
• Provide guidance and training to supervisors and employees on HR policies and best practices.
• Collaborate with leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
• Ensure smooth operation of time-tracking systems and resolve any issues as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in HR management, preferably within the local government or public sector.
• Proficiency in using HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong knowledge of compliance and labor laws at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Demonstrated ability to handle employee relations and conflict resolution effectively.
• Expertise in benefits administration and compensation planning.
• Solid understanding of HR metrics and their application in decision-making.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide teams and resolve issues.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. TalentMatch®
