Position Summary
LaX Industries LLC is seeking motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our Parts Department as Parts Technicians at Levels 1 and 2. This entry-to-intermediate level role plays a critical role in supporting our fabrication operations by preparing and producing high-quality metal parts. The successful candidate will progress through defined skill levels, gaining hands-on experience with shop equipment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Level 1 – Parts Helper
• Practice and promote basic shop safety protocols at all times
• Safely operate chop saw and band saw equipment
• Accurately read and interpret tape measure measurements
• Deburr, sort, and organize completed parts
• Provide general assistance to machine operators as needed
Level 2 – Machine Operator
• Read and interpret cut lists and simple technical drawings
• Perform basic machine operations with increasing independence
• Execute basic plasma cutting tasks
• Operate ironworker equipment proficiently
• Produce parts independently while meeting quality and production standards
Minimum Education Required
High School Diploma
Minimum Experience Required
1-2 years in manufacturing environment
