Actalent Survey Cad Technician in Spokane, Washington
(Job Description)
A civil engineering company in Spokane, WA is currently hiring for a Survey CAD Technician. The Survey CAD Technician will support a wide range of survey projects. The ideal candidate brings strong office surveying skills, exposure to drafting software (CAD), experience with survey equipment, a collaborative attitude, and the flexibility to assist in the field when needed. This hands-on model promotes a dynamic learning environment, allowing the Survey CAD Technicians to gain a valuable end-to-end project experience under the mentorship of a Professional Land Surveyor, supporting their path towards professional licensure.
Pay - $25/hr. - $39/hr. (Depending on overall tenure, LSIT or CST, experience, etc.).
Location - Spokane, WA (On-site for projects with some travel within the Northwest required)
Contract Duration - 12 Months Contract-To-Hire (PTO and Holiday Pay included during contract duration)
(Summary of Key Responsibilities)
Provide high-quality office support, including survey research, processing field data, and producing client-ready deliverables, with occasional opportunities to assist in the field.
Collaborate closely with Sr. Land Surveyors and fellow Survey Technicians.
Conduct survey research and prepare boundary calculations from recorded documents for field crews to retrace property boundaries.
Analyze Title Reports to identify deeds, easements, and other recorded encumbrances, and assess their impact on specific parcels of land.
Draft final or near-final versions of Records of Survey, Topographic Maps, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Subdivision Plats, and Survey Exhibits for review and stamping by a Sr. Land Surveyor.
(Qualification Requirements)
2+ years of survey CAD experience (Must have experience within survey).
Exposure to civil drafting software (AutoCAD - Required / Carlson - Preferred, not required).
Experience with survey equipment, including GPS, robotics, and total stations.
Ability to climb steep terrain and carry up to 80 lbs. for extended periods.
Ability to manage time effectively and juggle multiple tasks or projects.
Willingness to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Clean driving record with the ability to drive company or rental vehicles.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $39.00/hr.
