Description The Infection Prevention Expert is considered to have expertise in Infection Prevention Expert. An IP Expert is expected to work autonomously and to serve as a mentor to other infection preventionists. All Infection Preventionists (IPs) are accountable for implementation of and compliance with policies, practices, and processes of the infection prevention program at the facility, region, division and system level. In collaboration with the IP leadership, IP medical director, and IP peers, all IP peers, all IP will follow all current local, state and federal guidelines, standards and regulations. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health sciences field Upon hire: National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology 5 years of Healthcare experience 5 years of Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health sciences field Within 2 years of hire: Fellow of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology -OR- Advanced Leadership Certification in IPC 10 or more years of Healthcare experience 10 or more years of Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience Why Join Providence? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
