Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Network Engineer in Liberty Lake, WA.  As a Lab Network Engineer you will:        Set up, configure, document, and maintain Linux and Windows systems, network devices, and virtualization platforms in the lab.   Perform network cabling, rack setup, and physical infrastructure planning.   Configure and manage networking components, including VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall rules.   Deploy and manage virtualization technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, KVM, and XCP-ng.   Maintain and optimize storage systems used in lab environments.   Perform regular audits of configuration and inventory data to ensure accuracy and compliance.   Create and maintain scripts and tools to automate lab configuration, provisioning, and usability.   Troubleshoot and resolve lab and network outages, hardware failures, and system performance issues.   Address Helpdesk tickets from lab users in a timely and professional manner.   Collaborate with IT and Facilities teams to resolve connectivity, power, and cooling issues.   Participate in the design, monitoring, and improvement of lab services and infrastructure.   Ensure proper documentation of lab systems, configurations, and operational procedures.   This is a full-time opportunity. The ideal candidate will have:      Required Skills & Qualifications:        A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)   5-7+ years of experience in enterprise network environments & Physical Lab Understanding   3-5+ years of experience with virtualization platforms   Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.   Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills   Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies   Preferred Skills & Qualifications:        Experience with python or other scripting.   Pay Range: $45 - $60 per hour.      *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
