Volt Management Corp. Medical Billing Supervisor in Spokane, Washington
Volt is immediately hiring for a remote Medical Billing Supervisor.
As a Medical Billing Supervisor you will:
Supervise the work of the Revenue Cycle Team by delegating work, monitoring progress, and evaluating work product for timeliness, quality, and compliance with policy and procedures
Coordinating and leading daily team activities
Assisting with management decisions and activities
Providing feedback about team members to management
Developing new processes and improving existing processes in pursuit of team goals with emphasis on quality, efficiency, and speed.
Follow and enforce guidelines, processes, and procedures to accomplish objectives and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
This is a full-time, contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills & Qualifications
Three plus years supervisory experience in medical billing including hospital billing and collections
Able and willing to work outside of normal hours
Experience mentoring less experienced team members
Experience being evaluated against, and creating action plans based on financial goals and targets to create a profitable service line
Complete understanding and in-depth working knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle; Good working knowledge of medical terminology, billing guidelines, HIPAA and compliance; Solid knowledge of third-party billing requirements and HIPAA 837/835 electronic language.
Able to work independently and with wide latitude for independent judgement
Able to establish and monitor performance/productivity standards
Able to balance workload of being a supervisor and individual contributor
Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience required
