Spherion Staffing & Recruiting Maintenance Technician in Spokane, Washington
Spherion Staffing has an immediate need for two Maintenance Technician to fill roles for a fast pace food manufacture. In this role you will be performing all equipment and building/maintenance functions including but not limited to, repair and renovation of physical plant; and the repair, maintenance, calibration, and/or fabrication of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Two Shifts Open M-F 10am - 6:30pm (5-8's) M-Thur 5pm - 3:30am (4-10's with $1 shift differential) Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. In addition, Spherion offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, Washington paid sick leave, an incentive and recognition program (all benefits are based on eligibility). Responsibilities: 1. Assists in constructing fixtures, equipment, and/or equipment modification for use in company operations. 2. Experienced knowledge of machinery, plumbing, carpentry, painting, welding, and electrical tools; including specialty tools as required for plant operations, maintenance, and repair.
- Inspects plant machinery and mechanical equipment for defects, necessary repairs, etc., including troubleshooting and identifying problems; and reports information to management.
- Dismantles machines or equipment to gain access to defective parts and performs repairs using hand tools and/or specialty equipment.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearing, gears, pulleys, and/or other parts of machinery to provide regular maintenance and upkeep of machines and equipment.
- Measures, cuts, and installs pipe and tubing for gas, water, air, steam, and hydraulic lines using hand tools and/or specialty equipment.
- Repairs equipment within the plant and must be able to problem solve.
- Other duties as assigned. Working hours: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM Skills: Plant machinery maintenance experience preferred Prior food experience is preferred Education: High School Experience: 1-4 years Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent 2 yr degree in Electrical or Instrument Technology or equivalent technical experience or apprenticeship Must have high level of problem solving skills Must be proficient in Microsoft products: Excel, Word, Outlook Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying temperatures
