Spherion Staffing & Recruiting Maintenance Technician in Spokane, Washington

Spherion Staffing has an immediate need for two Maintenance Technician to fill roles for a fast pace food manufacture. In this role you will be performing all equipment and building/maintenance functions including but not limited to, repair and renovation of physical plant; and the repair, maintenance, calibration, and/or fabrication of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Two Shifts Open M-F 10am - 6:30pm (5-8's) M-Thur 5pm - 3:30am (4-10's with $1 shift differential) Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. In addition, Spherion offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, Washington paid sick leave, an incentive and recognition program (all benefits are based on eligibility). Responsibilities: 1. Assists in constructing fixtures, equipment, and/or equipment modification for use in company operations. 2. Experienced knowledge of machinery, plumbing, carpentry, painting, welding, and electrical tools; including specialty tools as required for plant operations, maintenance, and repair.

  1. Inspects plant machinery and mechanical equipment for defects, necessary repairs, etc., including troubleshooting and identifying problems; and reports information to management.
  2. Dismantles machines or equipment to gain access to defective parts and performs repairs using hand tools and/or specialty equipment.
  3. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearing, gears, pulleys, and/or other parts of machinery to provide regular maintenance and upkeep of machines and equipment.
  4. Measures, cuts, and installs pipe and tubing for gas, water, air, steam, and hydraulic lines using hand tools and/or specialty equipment.
  5. Repairs equipment within the plant and must be able to problem solve.
  6. Other duties as assigned. Working hours: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM Skills: Plant machinery maintenance experience preferred Prior food experience is preferred Education: High School Experience: 1-4 years Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent 2 yr degree in Electrical or Instrument Technology or equivalent technical experience or apprenticeship Must have high level of problem solving skills Must be proficient in Microsoft products: Excel, Word, Outlook Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying temperatures
