The Opportunity with McKinstry
We’re hiring a Logistics Lead (Contract) to support outbound logistics operations onsite at McKinstry in Spokane. This is a long-term contract role where you’ll play a key part in coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and ensuring materials move efficiently and on time. The estimated duration is 6–12 months, with potential for extension.

What You’ll Be Doing
Plan, coordinate, and execute outbound shipments (LTL, FTL, parcel, and freight forwarding)
Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading (BOLs), packing lists, and commercial invoices
Support export documentation and ensure compliance with shipping requirements
Manage relationships with carriers and coordinate pickups and deliveries
Track shipments and provide updates to internal stakeholders
Use TMS and ERP systems to manage and document shipping activity
Troubleshoot shipping issues and delays as they arise
Ensure accuracy and compliance across all shipping processes
Support overall outbound logistics and material flow
What You Bring
Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field)
2–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations
Experience coordinating shipments across multiple modes (LTL, FTL, parcel, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working with ERP and/or TMS systems
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Incoterms
Experience with export documentation and freight forwarding
Hazmat shipping certification
APICS CSCP or CLTD certification

This is an hourly contract role, with a pay range of $30.00- $50.00 per hour depending on experience.
