Actalent Land Survey Technician in Spokane, Washington
Our client in Seattle, WA location is currently hiring for a Survey Technician to support a growing in-house survey team. This position will be onsite for field projects with required travel throughout the Pacific Northwest. The Survey Technician will work under the direction of a Professional Land Surveyor and Sr. Crew Chiefs, supporting a wide range of boundary, topographic, and ALTA/NSPS survey projects. This opportunity offers hands-on field experience and exposure to a full field-to-finish project lifecycle, with long-term potential for professional growth.
Pay
$25.00 – $39.00/hour (Depending on years of experience, tenure, equipment proficiency, certifications, and relevant job titles)
Location
Seattle, WA (Onsite fieldwork with travel throughout the Pacific Northwest)
Schedule
Standard Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)
Contract-to-Hire | 12-month duration
Responsibilities
• Collaborate closely with Sr. Land Surveyors and fellow Survey Technicians
• Independently collect field data for boundary, topographic, and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys under direction of a Sr. Crew Chief
• Operate survey equipment including GPS, robotics, and total stations
• Perform field survey calculations including rotations and translations
• Take clear, organized, and legible field notes and photographs
• Support accurate, client-ready survey deliverables through detailed documentation and coordination
Qualification Requirements
• 2+ years of field surveying experience
• Hands-on experience with GPS, robotics, and total stations
• Required experience supporting ALTA/NSPS surveys
• Ability to work in varying terrain and lift/carry up to 80 lbs. for extended periods
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects
• Willingness to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest
• Valid driving record and ability to operate company or rental vehicles
Disqualifiers
• No field surveying experience
• No experience operating GPS or total station equipment
• No ALTA/NSPS survey exposure
• Inability to travel for regional field assignments
• Less than 2 years of relevant surveying experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $39.00/hr.
