Salary Range: $5,011 - $6,107
Starting salary for this position is: $5,011 (Monthly)
Employees hired at the entry step of this range receive salary step advancement after six months and every 12 months thereafter. An employee hired at anything higher than the entry step of the range will have salary step advancement after 12 months and every 12 months thereafter until they reach the top of the salary range. Each salary step advancement will be approximately a 5% increase.

Spokane Colleges is comprised of two accredited colleges, Spokane Community College (SCC) and Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC) serving Spokane, Stevens, Whitman, Ferry, and Pend Oreille Counties, as well as portions of Lincoln County.
Both colleges are accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and governed by the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges.

About the HVAC Technician - Spokane Community College
JOB SUMMARY
Our HVAC Technician performs skilled work in the inspection, testing, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC systems, and related equipment at Spokane Colleges (Spokane Colleges) facilities. Servicing classrooms, lab spaces, auditoriums, offices and more, the HVAC Technician is a critical and valued member of a dynamic Facilities team that serves students, staff and faculty at Spokane Community College (SCC) and Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC).
Under general direction, the HVAC Technician makes repairs to system components including chillers, boilers, valves, and other items and responds to calls on heating and cooling problems to evaluate and make appropriate repairs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Evaluate heating and cooling problems, make appropriate diagnosis and make repairs to faulty HVAC equipment and HVAC systems and controls. *
• Install new control components including valves, actuators, and sensors, and document HVAC control modifications at completion of projects. May need to coordinate with administrators
