Aston Carter Quote Coordinator in Spokane Valley, Washington

Job Title: Quote CoordinatorJob Description

The Quote Coordinator facilitates and coordinates assigned quoting activities and helps establish improved standard quoting processes and systems. This role develops and presents accurate, comprehensive product quotes using financial analysis, industry and component knowledge, and sound reasoning. The Quote Coordinator collaborates closely with engineering, materials, finance, and IT teams to ensure quotes reflect the lowest possible total cost while supporting margin and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate assigned quote activities to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product quotes.

  • Develop and present accurate, comprehensive product quotes based on financial analysis, component and industry experience, and rational reasoning.

  • Apply logic and perform sanity checks on all material and other costs before routing quotes for approval.

  • Work with the quote team and engineering to drive the lowest possible material and other costs prior to obtaining signatures.

  • Coordinate quote kickoffs and review RFQ templates before organizing and leading the appropriate meetings.

  • Collaborate with finance and IT to improve and enhance the quote process, pricing worksheets, and quote-related software tools.

  • Coordinate with engineering and materials quoting teams to maintain accuracy and timeliness in all quote activities.

  • Challenge engineering and material quoting teams to provide the lowest possible total cost solutions while meeting customer requirements.

  • Analyze data and compare quotes to customer target pricing, previous quoting efforts, and other benchmarks to assess cost effectiveness.

  • Establish pricing models for each customer based on agreed parameters and identify opportunities to increase margins and revenue.

  • Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures to track quote performance.

  • Manage multiple quotes simultaneously while meeting expected timelines and deadlines.

  • Review and analyze material costs, routings, Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE), custom tooling, and all other cost elements of quotes.

  • Initiate, attend, and lead meetings as needed to support quoting activities and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Provide administrative and project coordination support related to quoting and customer service activities.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts in quoting processes and documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • One to two years of experience in an office environment.

  • Experience managing manufacturing quotes and timelines.

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, costs, and techniques for maximizing cost reductions.

  • Strong ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce logical, accurate answers.

  • Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions, including identifying relationships among seemingly unrelated events.

  • Extensive experience with Excel and other database programs.

  • Strong knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Sound written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write and understand routine reports, follow instructions, and speak effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and work effectively with diverse groups of people.

  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and commonly used email, internet, word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.

  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and materials with poise, tact, and diplomacy.

  • Administrative support, project coordination, and project management capabilities.

  • Customer service skills relevant to supporting internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience, particularly in a quoting or cost analysis context.

  • Cost analysis experience, including reviewing material costs, routings, NRE, and tooling.

  • Experience improving or standardizing business processes, especially quoting or pricing workflows.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial and cost-related data.

  • Interest in professional growth with potential to progress into Level II, Level III, Senior, or Project Management tracks.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite position with typical hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The work environment is office-based within a positive, team-oriented culture that values collaboration and open communication. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr.
