Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and organized Learning & Development Coordinator who is passionate about helping employees grow and succeed. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping engaging learning experiences that support both individual career development and the organization’s long-term success. You will help design, coordinate, and deliver training initiatives that empower employees with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive.

As an L&D Coordinator, you will manage learning programs from concept to completion; coordinating timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure initiatives are delivered smoothly and effectively. You will work with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other e-learning platforms to organize digital training content and support innovative learning solutions. Your understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles will help create engaging and impactful training experiences.

This role is highly collaborative and offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with employees, managers, and external partners. You will also support employees in their professional growth by guiding them toward training opportunities and helping them explore career development pathways within the organization.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate and support engaging learning and training initiatives across the organization.

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure programs are delivered successfully.

  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms to organize and deliver training content.

  • Apply instructional design principles to create effective and engaging learning materials.

  • Collaborate with customer service employees, managers, and vendors to support training programs and organizational learning goals.

  • Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure they deliver meaningful results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in learning development and training design, development, and delivery in a complex industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education or related field.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in instructional design, performance consulting and deep understanding of adult learning principles.

  • Effective and flexible communication skills with a variety of audiences including collaboration, facilitation, influencing, negotiating, resolving conflicts and building consensus.

  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to execute on multiple assignments with minimal supervision.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working with a Learning Management System and supporting end users required. LMS system configuration experience preferred.

  • Computer skills including MS Office Suite and proficiency with authoring tools/design software (Articulate 360 and HTML preferred).

  • Related master’s degree or advanced training/certifications preferred.

  • Understanding of utility operations preferred.

  • Proven ability to design and deliver a variety of types of learning and development initiatives and programs utilizing multiple approaches, including instructor led, virtual, and blended learning methods. Experience with emerging learning technologies a plus.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Hiring Range: $88,336 to $114,838

Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane Valley, Washington Call Center at least 2 days per month with additional day(s) determined by the manager.

In compliance with state laws, we provide the full salary range for each position, along with the typical hiring range based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
