Continental Contractors, Inc Construction Worker in Spokane Valley, Washington

Continental Contractors Inc. is looking to fill 10 Construction Worker Positions in Kootenai & Spokane Counties. This is a temporary, fulltime position starting on 4/1/2026 and ending on 11/15/2026.

 

Assist heavy equipment operators with grading and digging; assist pipefitters by moving, loading and unloading materials between warehouse, trucks and worksites; dig holes and trenches using shovels and compaction equipment to a max depth and width of 3ft. Prepare worksites by delivering equipment, tools, supplies and materials to work sites. Maintain worksite by using rakes, shovels and other hand tools to remove scrap, dispose of hazardous materials and erect barriers around worksites. Control and manage inventory used by heavy equipment operators and pipefitters. Light maintenance on equipment, like checking oil, gas, checking equipment readiness and notifying foreman when equipment needs repairs or heavy maintenance. Some English speaking preferred but not required. Involves loading and unloading tools and supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Involves working outdoors in all types of weather. Involves extensive standing, sitting or walking. Involves frequent stooping or bending. Involves repetitive movements. Some English speaking preferred but not required. Possibility of performance based raise, bonuses, overtime and Saturdays as required. Transportation provided to multiple worksites from central location in Spokane Valley, WA. 30 minutes of unpaid breaks throughout the day. Daily hours may vary between start and end times listed depending on weather or job assignments

Terms and Conditions of Employment: $26.07 to $28.07 per hour. Minimum of 40 hours per week - M-Th (with a possibility of Sat.), 7:00:00 AM to 5:30:00 PM (schedules may vary). Overtime is available as needed. Overtime rate is $39.11 to $42.11. Possibility of Performance based raise. On the job training provided.

Housing: If requested, employer may assist non-local workers securing optional worker-paid lodging (not to exceed fair market value, based on number of occupants; cost TBD). Housing costs paid directly to landlord and are not payroll deducted. Transportation: Employer will provide advance transportation costs for most economical common carrier for workers, either foreign or domestic, to place of employment from place of recruitment and reimburse subsistence when worker completes 50% of the work period.

Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence to be reimbursed at a minimum amount of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per 24 hour period (with receipts) of travel.

Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.

Tools, Equipment and Supplies: Employer will provide all tools and supplies, without charge or deposit, necessary to perform job duties. On the Job Training Provided.

Miscellaneous: Employer will use a single work week as its standard for computing wages due; pay is Weekly.

Miscellaneous: Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law unless agreed to. H-2B Workers who paid visa, border and or other visa related fees, including those mandated by the government, will be reimbursed by employer in the first workweek.
