Aventure Staffing Accounts Payable Specialist in Spencer, Iowa
Accounts Payable Specialist $20/hr Depending on Experience
Monday-Friday 7am-5pm available.
Aventure Staffing is seeking detail oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to work for a well established business in Spencer, IA! This position is primarily responsible for managing accounts payable functions.
This is a Full-Time, IN OFFICE position. Starting at $20.00/hr and will Depend on Experience.
Responsibilities:
Process high-volume vendor invoices for multiple business entities accurately and efficiently
Code invoices to the correct entity, department, and general ledger accounts
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents, as applicable
Verify proper approvals and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal staff
Prepare and process payments
Reconcile vendor statements and research and resolve variances
Monitor payment schedules to ensure timely payments
Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience required
Solid understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices along with strong math skills
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization with ability to self-review work
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to work collaboratively
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion

Starting Pay: $20/hr plus Doe
