Fiber Construction Laborer - CDL Class A (Non-Union)
Job Summary
We are seeking Fiber Construction Laborer with a CDL Class A to support fiber optic installation projects. This non-union position combines hands-on construction labor with commercial driving and requires flexibility to travel for project work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general labor in support of fiber optic construction (trenching, hand digging, backfilling, restoration)
- Assist crew with conduit placement, pulling fiber, installation of handholes, and job site set up and clean up.
- Operate CDL Class A vehicles to transport, equipment and materials
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and comply with DOT regulations
- Set up traffic control and maintain a safe, clean job site
- Follow all OSHA and company safety policies
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening
- Construction labor experience required; fiber or utility experience preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions
Travel Requirements
- Frequent travel required depending on project location
- Overnight stays may be required
- Per Diem provided for eligible travel days
