As a Security Officer - Credential Checkpoint in Sparrows Point, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location where you will support access control and security-related duties across entrances, docks, and key areas. You will greet employees and drivers, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in, and conduct routine patrols and reporting that help to deter incidents. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and on-site personnel by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Operate access control at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, checking credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing vehicle and foot traffic within the distribution location.
Monitor inbound and outbound shipments, trailers, and yard activity for unusual conditions, documenting observations and reporting concerns per site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing detailed reports and communicating with site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, dock areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
